Going on my experience of riding this place and the way the weather has been today, warm and windy. I declare the singo mtb track open for business.

Trainers

I'm out of action for a while after having my shoulder reconstructed and was thinking about buying a trainer to help keep my fitness up. So thoughts on which brands/types are good or not? I'll be using a 26er with road tyres.

Washout. Loads of rain has turned trails into rivulets. Better suited to a canoe. Leave bike at home and walk the Bicentenial Loop where you can see the rare site of the waterfall flowing in the fern grove.

Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 20 Nov

7am This Sunday morning. Near perfect. Most tails retaining light moisture levels keeping dust and loose gravel compact. Riding conditions close to ideal for quick riding with only a little mud in gullies and the usual spots. Forecast 37, low humidity and westerly winds will dry out the trails fast so these conditions won't last.

Very muddy. Only did half a lap and the wheels had gained 10kg so gave up. If you did a few laps it would do a fair bit of damage to the track. Gullies are just slop. will probably be OK in a couple of days with no rain. Track does not handle the water very well but does dry very quickly.
