Entries open for Kowalski Classic

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Introducing the Kowalski Classic

For nigh on two decades, local trail building legends Paul Cole, Alan Anderson and the mysterious Kowalski Brothers have been hand-crafting trails in the ACT region. Thanks to their work, Sparrow Hill and East Kowen Forest have become single track nirvana. The innuagural Kowalski Classic gives you the chance to race it all in one hit. Ride the Bird, then the Kow, then the Bird, then the Kow!

FULL DISTANCE (Circa 90-100km):

Extra spaces opened up for the 2012 Kanangra Classic

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

After the sell out success of last years Kanangra Classic, we can announce that we will have an extra 300 spots up for grabs in this years event!
Spaces are filling fast, so if you missed out on a spot last year, now is the time to get your entry in.

For those who don't know about this event, the Kanangra Classic is a great weekend of outdoor recreation held in the beautiful Kanangra Boyd National Park. Located just 146km west of Penrith and approx 30 minutes from the Oberon township the Kanangra Boyd National Park is an iconic part of the greater Blue Mountains.

World 24hr

Is there a way of following this weekends 24hr World Champs?

I'd love to follow it. I'm assuming this WEMBO site is it... although there are no links I can see re: live timing.

Husky 50km vs Convict 50km

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I did the Convict 50km last weekend (loved it) and will be doing the Husky 50 end of June. Can anyone tell me what I can expect in comparison to the Convict? Hopefully when I get a few more of these under my belt, I won't have to keep asking for everyones advice.....

Local downhill tracks Orange Bathurst Lithgow?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi all!
Keen to get back into downhilling, I live in Bathurst and was wondering if Orange or Lithgow have any legal tracks to ride and whether there are any races held there? I had a search but didn't turn up much, not a good sign!

Thanks!

Ben

100 mile fling

Hi,
Anyone know what the cut off times for the hundred mile fling are? Can't seem to find it on their website.
Thinking about going full distance this year.
Cheers

Short distance races for beginners?

Hello all,

Reading all the posts about the recent convict 100 has inspired me to give racing a go. Being relatively unfit I was wondering if there are any races for beginners around the 15km mark?
