A bit about me (me being Speedy)
Hey everyone, Just incase you are wondering, I made a mistake when siging up so I actual have 2 accounts, this one and the "Reed" username. so don't both with the Reed account because I'm leaving it.
But yeah. I am just completeting my HSC in late October so I will be riding Lizzard rock regularly on November. If anyone know anyone else who is looking to by a GT ruckus, I'm going to seel mine and get a Ironhorse Yakuza Aniki, The GT is the 2005 model but it has a nine gear cassette instead of an 8 gear cassette.
So yeah if anyone one what to go down Lizzard rock on any saturday then just give me an sms on my mobile.
Hi Everyone
Hi there
First of all...great website you guys have here. The Google Earth maps are fantastic!
Well I'm Ben and I recently decided to get into mountain biking for a bit of fun and fitness. I've got myself a new Giant Alias and am keen to get out and learn a bit. Unfortunately I can't ride for a while as I hurt my arm at Oxford Falls a week ago but I'm keen to get back on when the doc gives me the thumbs up. I go watch my mate fly his helicopter at the club down at Oxford Falls so I've probably seen a few of you pass by in the past.
I live in Turramurra so I'll likely be getting the hang of things down at Bobbin Head and then maybe at the Cascades in St Ives.
Snakes are waking up
Ran over a red-belly black snake this morning at cascades - I saw it going for me - You're lucky I'm still here to post this!
Yellowmundee - Suitable for kids?
I'm planning to take the kids out to Yellowmundee tomorrow afternoon, but I haven't been there before. Is there anything suitable for kids? Mine are 11, 7 and 5 (the future athlete!). I've taken them on short rides before, not too technical, not too steep (up or down!) Should I go, or think of something else?

Great Rides?
This site was featured in SMH yesterday:
Mostly down South, and road based by the looks, but looks like it might be a nice easy ride if you have a week or so to kill
NSW State Forests
Just stumbled across this rather useful page on the Forests NSW site maybe worth sharing:
http://www.forest.nsw.gov.au/recreation/default.asp
In particular, check out this flyer on MTB trails they have going on down south, looks nicely organised and would like to see more of this:

I was actually looking for details on Awaba State Forest after seeing that Amazon Run vid on the BA site. Looks rather cool and see they had some NSW DH state championships there last year (10/7/2005). Anyhow, Awaba, it turns out is NE of Watagans NP off the Sydney/Newcastle freeway, perhaps another hour north of Ourimbah.
New bike path proposed for Kent st in the City
Thought this might interest some people who commute into the city:
The following is sent to you for your general information on the problems facing cycling and triathlon in NSW
This incentive allows a great advocacy opportunity and it will only take a few minutes of your time. That time however could / will make a whole lot of difference for the whole population for a very long time ... for details of what, why, how and by when read the rest of the information on this email ...
As a cyclist most of you will apprecitate a moment to lend your support to this fantastic, health-promoting infrastructure project, and circulate it to others who could do the same.
