AMB magazine with Angry Doctor entry

Did any one pay for both AMB subscription and Angry doctor entry?

If so, has anyone received AMB issue yet? i think a new issue of AMB is in the shop now.

bike stand for ute

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

As anyone who has ridden with me knows I drive a ute...I would like to know if anyone out there knows of a stand I can get to put in the back of my ute so my bike can stand up - it usually lays down which is fine until some moron pulls out in front of me - last week i had to stop so suddenly i was worried i had bent my front wheel...
Anyway, I know that in tray backs they are wide enough for the bike to go across the back of the window but mine isn't - I require a super easy solution as I am not at all practical (although I do delude myself into thinking I am on occasion)

Trek - why so few?

Thats it really, why do they have such a small presence or do I just ride around with my eyes shut (occasionally). I was in Renegade cycles in Lane Cove looking at the Trek mtb's in there as well as the road bike but lets not go there!

Is it just the lack of distributors or are they not generally popular in Oz?

TDF explained: Pack Mentality: the energy economics of pelotons

Great article on the TDF: Pack mentality - from a free market/capitalist perspective:

Pack Mentality: the energy economics of pelotons.

Cut deals with the enemy, maximize liquidity, punish the welshers, and other free-market lessons of the typical bike race.

Tour News - More EPO Doping (Roadie Warning)

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

First off, those who aren't interested in the Tour, please refrain from regurgitating the old MTB vs Road debate. No one is forcing you to read this...

Just saw on the news that another rider, Riccardo Ricco aka the Cobra has been booted from the Tour (the 3rd in this year's Tour) and resulted in his team (Saunier Duval) withdrawing from the Tour altogether.

What I don't get is that EPO was/is one of the most widely known drugs in cycling and with the testing becoming almost foolproof, what possesses a pro to go down that road, knowing that everything is at stake?

Pilgrimage means bridge is closed for cars - can i ride it?

I was thinking....
With the Pilgrimage to Randwick this Saturday the harbour bridge is shut to cars from 2am till 5pm.
Does anyone know if i can take advantage of this on the bike and ride the main bridge deck. It would be an awesome ride (perhaps take the little lady - i'll be in the good books for sure.)
Anyone else interested in joining us. (I feel a group ride in the works)

NOTE: I promise not to "bar" any pilgrims. I am a reformed MTBer (i have seen the error in my selfish speed-hungry ways)
