Yes one of them was me. Just trying it out for the very first time!

what you think of the skinny wheels on the black stuff?

Well the first hour or so had me wobbling and bouncing all over the place. Those 100psi tyres sure are not very forgiving over rough surfaces!

Once I worked out what gears to use then all was well. My neck hurt a bit from being so hunched over for the first time though.

It should be good for getting to work on now. It sure covers distance a lot quicker than my old hardtail MTB. I could do with a bigger cassette though. That 11-23 I found to be a little hard on some hills.

the disapointment i feel at you going over to the 'dark side' is simply....indescribable (that spelling looks awful.. delicious?!!!)

...to use it (scum) for commuting is possibly reasonable but today was the weekend - play day on the bikes...although, I must confess, I rode home from work via the road (on mildred might i add) Heath track just isn't that endearing...in the dark...alone.. lol

Try and stick with the 11-23 as it will only make you stronger...
If you were racing or living in the mountains then change, but your legs will will soon get used to it.

PS - shouldn't your tyres be 120psi?

The Trance Advanced is on ebay... decided to get my arse in gear and sell it. Put it on the site on Thursday night and so far have 53 "watchers" and have had a good few people come see it, so hoping it will fetch a decent price.... but who knows. Will put the proceeds towards a road bike, but it will be all new to me. Will I need to shave my legs?

Now, I know Buck has just picked up a bargain so this shouldn't make him too ill, but was in Cranks this morning and they have a BMC Crosser with 105 gear for $2500 (although there were hints you might do better). Think this was the one, nice looking (for a skinny bike Eye-wink):

Christine, today was just to get comfortable with the bike before I ride it in peak hour traffic...I swear Eye-wink
And I hear your are about to sign up to the Sydney to Gong so we'll be seeing you on skinny tyres soon anyway Sticking out tongue

Buck,

Is that the oone that just sold on ebay?

LTEC

It was actually put on Rotorburn by my local bike shop mechanic. So he sold it to me for a good deal as I go to his store often and it came professionally serviced. Quite a steal really for the spec.

Looking to upgrade to carbon at some point. The TCR is definately on the short list.

..... have been looking at a TCR on ebay .... does this look like a good deal? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem...

That the CR1 listed has done 300km and not 3000km as it is an 08 model. I'm not saying that it's not possible to be only 300km, but you don't want to be stung.

If it is 'new' then the price seems pretty good in comparison to other CR1's on sale and that have been sold in the past.
Cool
