New Cleats & Larsen

It doesn't seem like long ago at all that I was writing about new sole protectors... in fact that's only 3 months ago and the new set put on then is now worn through.

So I began to think that this speed of wear may well have something to do with the cleats getting very worn and thus letting the pedals get closer to the shoe and wear the sole more. Well, maybe.

Either way, today the Dorothy shoes got some new cleats and a new set of sole protectors. Let's see how they go.

For reference, here's some pics of old 'v' new cleats:

P.S. Oh, and a new Larsen was fitted to the rear of the Rush too.

Non Sequitur - Have you checked out the Crank Brothers wheelsets ... about the sexiest wheels out there...

Note they will now sell you 'premium' cleats and also a protector for your shoe... looks like a thin piece of metal

Never thought to actually compare my new cleats to old ones. Thats pretty much shows why they stop working well. How often do you replace your cleats?

The new cleats are 'premium'. Think the old ones may have been too as they came with Eggbeater SL pedals.

The old cleats were installed with other bling so are about 14 months old.
