Does anyone the distance starting at the ferry, up Devine's Hill, GNR to Clare's bridge and return via Western Commission track to the ferry?

Around the 35-40km mark. However I wouldn't return via the Western Commission track. It's really boring. Instead I'd recommend going back along the GNR (twice the fun in reverse) then hang a right and hang on tight down Shepherds 'Grin-fest' Gully.
As it's all technically firetrail Google will tell you:

You can always go a few hundred metres past Clares Bridge, turn left and do the Wat Darma Loop - brings you back onto the "main" road near the top of the climb back south out of Ten Mile Hollow. A couple of steep bits, but a bit more interesting thaan slogging back up over those water bars. And I agree that the Western Commission line route back is boring. But it depends on how fit you are. Its not a bad option if you're pretty stuffed by the time you get back to the start of the "good" bit and want a more cruisy ride back. Just need to be aware of possible traffic. I've come across a "head on" between two cars on that bit.
I find mapmyride is very good for trails available and making new ones
what you asked for = 37.75km going to the blue panoramio dot on GE where the Clare's Bridge is.
