I was hoping to go for a blast on Saturday morning. May be naive of me to ask given all of the feedback and discussion but can you still ride some of the trails?

But some of the sections need to be walked or ridden around.

* All fire trail can be ridden
* Most trail in the asset protection zone behind houses can still be ridden
* Singletrack between Allambie Heights and Cootamundra Drive is out of bounds, but if you continue up the fire road and past the tennis courts there is a quiet road route that will bring you back onto the trail at the corner of Cootamundra Drive and Churchill Crescent.
* Singletrack on the climb up to the golf club entrance is out of bounds but can also be ridden around on a short road section, but beware of traffic at end of school time around 3pm.
* The section known as Golf Course Singletrack is out of bounds for 1.2km. This is the biggest problem and probably the sweetest section of trail. You can walk it I suppose, but not practical if wearing bike shoes and clipless pedals. Otherwise it will require you to cross Wakehurst Parkway at beginning and end of the trail section, and is an 80km/hr piece of road. Not recommended.

RE: clipless pedals and protest ride, i was thinking it would be best not to wear them then aswell would be a nasty spd trail left from all.
