The start looked like redhill a bit. where is it filmed?
I'm guessing the first half is shot on the sniggle by MV road:

Don't recognise the stuff from around half way on. That little bridge crossing and the sandstone cliff is a give away if you know it - but I don't. Am guessing the second half is somewhere a little naughty then, but would love to be proved wrong.
Who's the rider - go ask him
Where ever it is, it look like some pretty nice riding.
i have had the chance to ride that bike and value for money its a hot steed, real stiff and super fun to ride, it feels like a 5" bike not a 4" and light 11kg complete super nicho well done.
Alright so the trails:
track along mona vale road
and the last section is two creeks under the roseville bridge on the roseville side.

Two Creeks is illegal. This rider can look forward to a nice fine from NPWS. Doh!
rob i am the rider thanks for your kind words
i believe the track is only closed form a certain point and the part ridden on the video is legal.
i live locally and i have had a lot of communication with the council when getting the castle cove jumps approved and am pretty sure even though it is under kuringai management they told me the beginning part under the bridge is legal for bikes.

@nicho,
First up - sorry if you took offence at that. To frame this in context, this forum is constantly monitored by NPWS staff who throw abusive emails and phone calls my way when illegal stuff is mentioned - even though I have no control over what people choose to discuss. It's a very sensitive issue, especially right now.
Secondly, Two Creeks was discussed at length in this thread:
http://nobmob.com/node/14157
The upshot of that seems to be that there is no special arrangement for this track, so it's as per-usual for NPWS land: If it's firetrail then it's legal, if it's not firetrail then it's not. The section in the video doesn't look much like firetrail and hence the conclusion it's illegal.
I guess to avoid confusion we need to post up some pictures and a GPS of where the firetrail in this area is and note that anything else is off limits.
Or could we all just stop carrying on about potentially illegal trails on here?
Should of just said, 'nice trails nicho and a lovely looking bike! btw, where can I get a look at the beast and how much could I pick a frame up for?'
More ridey, less talkey.
Or... we could all actually get of our @rses and do something about it? If you don't like the legal situation of trails in NPWS land in your area, write to the minister of the environment about it. I will be putting up a post about what to do and say later.
For those who do not comprehend the outcome of saying, "nice trails nicho", think about this: When people figure out this clip was filmed at Two Creeks they make the false assumption that the piece of single track there is legal. So they go ride it. They might assume that as there is nothing different here so other single tracks are also legal. Disclaimer: I know I've done this in the past but now know better.
Anyhow, so the more riders seen on illegal trails, the more ammunition for the opponents of MTB, the more complaints to NPWS, the less likely we are to broker some kind of amicable, legal outcome for all.
But dangersean - you know all this already, right? So please, more writey to minister, less preachy to converted.
Cheers!
As promised...
