Northern Beaches Link up
I was out at Oxford falls last night and wondering about how you could link up the 4 areas. If you started on a loop of Manly - could you ride through Bantry Bay (fire trail) down through Killarney Heights to the Roseville Chase bridge - up the river into Garigal Cascades - up past the tip over SH3 into St Ives - through Terry Hills, back down the downhill into Oxford falls, down through deep creek and into Red Hill via the NSW sports institute - back up Red Hill to Lady Penryn Drive and along the road to Allaambie Heights and finish. Is any of this illegal? If so are there alternatives without too much road riding? This would amount to an epic ride in the middle of Sydney.

... I don't think you can ride this.
I believe it's illegal to ride the trail from Bantry Bay to Roseville Bridge and from Roseville Bridge to Cascades.
It is certainly illegal to ride the Deep Creek trail and this is noted on our Oxford Falls page.
There are plenty of long routes to be made, but they mostly require backtracking and/or use of quite a bit of road. Sorry
We did the following a few months back as a training ride for the Fling. You could definitely add in a few more rides but linking it all up means hitting the road a number of times. Still a great training ride with some pretty gnarly hills but not all off-road.

It's top of my wish list. If only...
I hadn't realised so many guys had commented in favour of this since I posted it. Just goes to show as an idea it has support from the MTB community. Shame there's too much red tape to get through to make this a reality. Me thinks CB's suggestion of Pixiedust has more chance of making this happen.
A bit of hike a bike down gutterball, up a couple of steep rocky sections and a few places in Red Hill but if you want a 100km epic ride linking all the areas legally with as little road as possible then give this a go
