Long weekend
With a long weekend coming around, thinking of taking the oppourtunity to take a day trip. Anyone got any suggestions for trail/all mountain type riding, usually ride red hill and manly dam.

How long (time wise) are you looking to drive then ride? I would say Glenrock is a good all mountain track for a few hours riding. You could also do Awaba if you haven't been there before but Awaba is more flowing single track then all mountain.
Yeah ive done awaba before. it was good and flow but lacking techiness.
Glenrock isnt to far and not to far from australias best brewery either How does it compare to Menai? i havent ridden either of them.
glenrock is less techy than menai but more fun than menai! if you like flowing single track with gap jumps see saws wooden berms and stuff go Kiwarak near Taree
If you're making the effort of a day trip, I'd be doing Newcastle. Don't get me wrong, they're both great trails, but Glenrock has a lot more to offer for after the ride - the Brewery, Beach (if the weather is warm), Darby St for eats, all within a few minutes of the trail.
Menai has great trails, but the trail is in the middle of nowhere (relatively speaking), and doesn't have anything fun for afterwards!
Maybe I'm just excited as I'm heading up to Newy this weekend, and riding Glenrock Sat & Awaba Sun!
Kiwarak sounds good but probably a bit too far for a day trip. Probably need a place to crash over night.
Always a fun day out in my book.
Anyone keen for a GNR before the Dirtworks?
