Hi Folks.

I'll be going up to the Blue Mountains on Sunday to do the Woodford to Glenbrook Classic. I have recived my registration confirmation via email however can't seem to get much more information.

Can anyone help me with the follwing:

1. Where and when do i get my race number(if they have them)?
2. I hear the race starts at 9AM - is that confirmed?
3. Exactly where is th start line. I am assumign its at the head of the Oaks trail off taylor Rd. is that a good assumption?

Thanks - excuse the basic questions - it is my first time.

I can't believe this wouldn't be on their website, but in previous years...

1. Rego is at the RFS station just up the road from Woodford train station.
2. Yes, they won't change the start time.
3. The start line is next to Woodford Train station.

Check all this with the event organiser though. Their site says,

For more information contact the CareFlight events team on (02) 9843 5100 or email [email protected]

Rego has been in the carpark at Woodford station for the last 2 years I have been going.

Start time depends on which class you are in - elites are away at 9:00 - the rest of the age groups are released at 5 minute intervals thereafter.

Received this on the 1st of June, nothing since. "We will be sending all entrants an electronic information pack after entries close, so keep an eye out for it."

We should get it soon.

Right outside Woodford railway station is where all the action starts (opp hwy side)
There will be a big table with A-F G-M etc
Go to the letter corresponding with your last name - they will have you on their list
They will give you your race number and cable ties and the little transponder to wrap around your ankle

Best to get there with a bit of time up your sleeve, so about 9 am at the latest
Then you leave according to your age group
There'll be a squillion friendly people to help you out once you're there

Then it's all thrills and spills on the fire roads until you grass slide your way into Euroka
And regale your mates with tales of drifting corners and bunny hopping noobs
Enjoy

you grass slide your way into Euroka

All the cool kids slide around that big grassy right hander on their back... Well that's my story anyway.

Unfortunately kids sport is keeping me away again this year Sad

If you are not tuff like me, Smiling then maybe some arm warmers are the ticket as these are easily removeable. But seriously you could surely use a long sleeve jersey out there this weekend. Believe me, I know, the Blue Mountains are seriously not going to warm up anytime between now and the weekend.

Thanks "Little-Ditty" - yeh I am far from brave ....I'll take the cuppa cement - harden up and don the arm warmers and the zip up jumper. Should be all good.

Are you heading up on Sunday?

My garmin said average temp of 12 degrees, this was at 11am. Once you start riding though you wouldn't know it. I was wearing a short sleave jersey with a wife beater underneath and it was fine.

Have done the race there before, but not this weekend. I don't pay to ride my bike anymore. I will be staying local for my ride this weekend I think.
