Entries open on monday, will be signing up for this one for sure.
One day I'm going to post a 100km hilly ride, and I can at least be sure you'll be there with me Bruce, you just can't resist the enduro distances

i met on the trials reckon it is a fantastic ride - they asked if we were going down there - now that i have the new sexy blue beast i may even be keen for that - sounds fun - but only the 50!!!

Gavin here yes cofounder with Justin and Colin of nobmob and ex vpresident/. Have not been on for oevr a year, hello to all. (we are still all riding heaps in Belrose. Both Michelle and I (wife)our family have a holidays house in Kennet river(ocean front) which is at in the Otways. We have MTB rided through the Otways over 50 times from Skinners, Lawn, Wye River, kennet river. This is what i have to tell you, the steepest face on any road in Australia is along the great ocean road, getting to the top of any trail is 3 times worse than teh climb out of cascades hut thredbo. It is damm hard, the good news is when you are at the top you will have access to incredible dark, green, cold, forrests which are hard surface (typical victorian style mtb riding) and well worth the climb. I would rate the Otways 6/10. My advise is this dont drive so far when you can stop at Mt Beuaty on the way and ride the best single trails in the country. Mt Beauty is the pinnical in this country for single trail MTB riding. For the lucky people whom joined me 3 years ago Justin and Paul will testify, home of the Australian championships and a wicked maze of alpine single tracks that take 40 minutes on each one top to bottom . Mt Beauty is below falls creek 7 hours from syd, Otway 11 hours.

I think the first article I ever read in an AMB was this year about the Otway challenge and I remeber thinking WOW! I REALLY want to go THERE!!!

Sounds like we have to make it a bit of a road trip though to account for a rest day and to ride MT Beauty on the way back!?
