Dirty Double 'Cross Part II
Arcadia
I don't normally spam my club events but since Rob has a new bike (http://nobmob.com/node/2901) I thought it appropriate that we all encourage him to get out and use it as was designed (a short race with some obstacles and beer consumption with 'Cross dressing encouraged). The CX race will start at 2:30 and will go for 40 minutes + lap. Of course in the morning there are more tradional XC races.
For those of you not familiar with CX have a look at these links

that first file is funny as, the whole office looked over as i laughed histarically
i think it was about a 10% success rate to make the corner successfully
Lets see, i have 4 bikes already, need to convince the wifey to let me get a fifth.
bribes/gifts may be the key
that looks like alot of fun.
Don
Looks crazy!
So people can't RIDE around corners or uphill and can't jump over
obstacles!???
Bit like a duatlon, cross country running and riding in one!
Maybe good for cross training, Shaun... that looks like something for you!!
LOL! What crazy antics from our Cyclocross bretheren. What's with the lycra as well? Are they not riding off road? I don't believe there would be any latte's served!
Give me some technical sniggle any day.
So you'll be out to show us you're skills Caro?
Funny as!
Is there some connection between riders who wear lyrca and the inability to go around a corner or climb a hill (unless its bowling green smooth and made of bitch-a-men).
It's really tempting but not sure I'll be in this caper, but Alchemist, feel free to bung all your events in the dairy, especially comical ones.
That first one is class, "klein probleem", are a couple of the commentator's first words. Yes, nice understatement
Could I put slicks on the Rush?
No need, We'll be running two classes. One for traditional 'cross bikes (skinny tyres & drop bars) as well as Flatties & Fatties for the Mountain bikers who want to give it a go.
Am unconsolable but I won't be able to join you!
Please let us know when the next one is, not sure if I'd dare to ride but would love to watch
All comers are welcome, will be on rain, hail or shine! BBQ will be going for lunch (Andy's up the road is not too bad either
