Northern Beaches Trail Planning for NOBMOB and MWMTB
Lets keep the ball rolling!
So where to from here...im happy to see mwmtb and nobmob taking the lead with this on a public level, so i guess with so many members on nobmob and mwmtb combined, they need to join forces unofficially and stay on the same page and not go of in different directions
This will make sure all decision making is done to the benefit of all disciplines of mountain biking.
Mike Baird said "show us where you want the trails, and i will push for the funding that is available"

MWMTB are proud to present the second running Merry Cross-mass Cup. Racing will be Short Track format (15minutes + 1 Lap) with 2 barrier sections (one should be fast, the other will be on a carry) and if the storms continue probably a little bit of mud.
Bike rule: This year in addition to the Cylco-cross class, there will be a "Flatties & Fatties" Class for mountain bikers (Note the class name refers to the handlebars and tyres, not the riders).

Last time I convinced Rob to take his Celeste Indulgence off-road it ended in tears, lets see if he's prepared to give it a go in it's more natural environment (sans 1000's of screaming drunk Belgians).
CX racing will start at 6:30 & is preceded by Short Track XC - the event described by Paul Rowney as the Hurricane of Pain! Come to race or just to watch the Spectacle.

I don't normally spam my club events but since Rob has a new bike (http://nobmob.com/node/2901) I thought it appropriate that we all encourage him to get out and use it as was designed (a short race with some obstacles and beer consumption with 'Cross dressing encouraged). The CX race will start at 2:30 and will go for 40 minutes + lap. Of course in the morning there are more tradional XC races.
