9 I thought about pulling the pin on this race because of the weather but glad I didn't.
I've done very little riding in the last 3 weeks due to either the weather or going away so I didn't hold out much hopes of a great result. I'm pretty happy to be in the top half of the table, especially as I've only ever ridden Awaba once before.
The track is great and I'll definitely be back up there again soon, preferably when it's a bit drier. The last time I raced here, C grade didn't go up the long climb that we did today. I though 'heart rate hill' at Manly Dam was bad but this really sorts the men from the boys!
Tomorrow evening is planned for me - clean the bike!

That's a mighty fine result especially given your lack of training lately. Camel Back Climb makes Manly Dams best offering feel like a small pinch climb... Your just lucky they didn't get you guys up the Wallaby Climb as well... Now that really hurts

There's more climbs like that at Awaba? Very glad they didn't send us up that too!
The ute is my baby, between that and the bike, the wife is near enough a widow! Ha ha
