19th hole track upgrades/downgrades
Rode the dam today and i must say that i am dissapointed with the boulders trail fairies have put on the top of the 19th hole.
The boulders have totally wrecked the flow for anyone wishing to take the more technical line!
These things need to be rearranged to cater not only for beginners run but also for the more advanced run.

See here Hawkeye's Bugbear and personally I agree it is a downgrade.
Earlier in the week when it was raining the little landing area after this modification was very soft sticky mud and getting dangerous.
But FWIW I rode today together with a friend who hasn't been through for quite a while, and he found the modifications helpful.
To be honest, I'm not so bothered by it. I did prefer the old line, the tight turns made it more tricky and interesting, but there is some upside to what Council has evidently done.
As the soil builds up and the trail beyond grows over it should help limit the water flow that barrels straight off the end of the approach trail and over the A line into the clay pit at the bottom. Hopefully they will help direct more water around the stonework chute, off the side of the rock formation and away from the trail.
Massive water flow issues just there when it rains.
You can still do the old A, B and C lines, you just have to turn left instead of following the sheep line. A guy rode the C line in front of me today.
The rock placed at the bottom was interesting today. I agree with your assessment cambo ... narrow. Quite a few tyre tracks where people had missed it, which stopped. Presumably the result was an OTB.
I think it will be for a good for the great portion of people that will use it.
My main issue is that it takes speed/flow off that section of track for taking the bigger drops.
My sugestion to remedy it is to make one of the 3 boulders posible to ride over or even pop some air similar to that rock inbetween the trees up on the wakehurst single track. This would still direct people to the right and anyone that wants more tech can get it.
... pop some air off that one in Wakehurst Parkway
The boulders are there to stop people from riding that section as the tree cuttings that were there kept getting removed. You can find out why here http://nobmob.com/node/22408 , it’s been like this for a year.
