Biker dies on Hornsby mountain bike trail
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/the-h...
A BIKE rider, 50, died on the Hornsby mountain bike trail last Saturday.
Police said the Waitara man had previously experienced chest pains and was found collapsed on the southern section of the trail by two riders around 7pm.
They noticed minimal damage to his helmet and bike and performed CPR until ambulance paramedics arrived.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are yet to release the man's name, but said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Does anyone know any further details?

He was a friend of mine. My wife and his wife are best friends and were bridesmaids at each of our weddings.
Real tragedy. Fit, young, healthy and gone before his time.
His wife and their families and friends are all devastated.
He was found still clipped into his pedals. Heart attack was the cause.
RIP mate.
I must admit. If I had a preference, Still clipped in would be one of them.
RiP fellow rider.
RIP... way too young. I myself just turned 30.
Last week...

So Sorry to hear about your friend Ian. Condolences to you & your wife and his family. Gotta agree with Tim, that going that way is near the top of my list too, but I've got to feel it's tough for everyone else
Sad...
Btw, is he 30 or 50? The text you copied from the link says 50, but if you visit the original item (using the link you placed there) it says 30.
Be safe.
Sorry to hear this story about your mate BLKFOZ.
I hope his family are staying strong together.
Thanks for all the replies.
He was definately only 30 Buzz.
may his family stay strong thru all this .... At the last 24hr race that was at Mt Annan gardens the last rider doing his first lap , if I didn't stay with him i'm sure he wouldn't have made it round & he was well over 30yrs old , we just got to pay attention to fellow bike riders out on the trails .
May his soul rest in peace .........
Tough week for cyclists. RIP.
