Where do we meet and what do we need to bring?
The meeting point will be advised shortly.
To bring:
Longsleeve shirt, sunscreen, and hat (slip, slop, slap )
Sturdy shoes
Water and snacks
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Gardening handtools and gloves if you have them. Suited for turning earth or pruning vegetation is fine, we'll probably be doing both.
If you want to bring a camera to record your fellow culprits for posterity, make sure it's a sturdy one so it doesn't crack when you try to take spindog's picture!
we'll meet at the rangers offices at the park entry at 8am
cheers
Steve
Rain or shine?
doona day!
BOM's forecast is "Cloudy. Widespread showers, heavy at times, easing during the afternoon. Possible thunderstorms in the morning and early afternoon. Winds south to southwesterly 35 to 55 km/h."
we'll confirm if it's go or no-go at 6am tomorrow morning!
it's been raining consistently for the last several hours with some very heavy showers at times here in beautiful downtown Manly Vale
Weather radar shows lots of rain coming onshore from the southeast and the latest commentary from BOM is that the showers wont clear until this evening so I think it's officially a Doona Day!
Next volunteer days are May 25th and June 8th..
