HI I have been riding for about a year now mainly around Dwellingup and Camel Farm with the occasional rides down South. But I have decided the Hard tail Haro needs an upgrade. I have done a lot of research and I am leaning towards the Specialized Comp Carbon. I would like to hear from anyone who has ridden one. From some of the chat rooms It sounds like they have some issues with squeaks and bearings failing. But I like the fact they ride like a hardtail

Cant complain light enough & a smooth ride mines 2010 edition with a set of XT rims I'm 75kg would prefer if it came with a remote lockout front & rear.for what I use it for offrode only it has held together well only replaceing the wheel set & BB & chain money well spent Eye-wink

I own a 2012 29er and I think it's great. The BB does need to be serviced regularly, especially if you do a lot of wet weather riding, but it's an easy thing to do and only takes about 20 mins.

Thanks for the feed back it does sound like a very good bike but it is a big investment

or is this a stupid question?

Not a stupid question just thought every one was a mind reader. I am talking about the Epic as I use it for mainly Cross Country

I recently purchased a second hand 2012 Epic evo R, saved a fair whack of dough form a bike shop with 12 months warranty. Like anything used in the harsh conditions of MTBing, they must be maintained regularly. The people whinging about squeaks & rattles, are they maintaining them correctly ? The quality of how this bike was put together compared to my old hardtail, eg sealed roller bearings, is chalk and cheese but, what yus pay is yus get.
