Hi Ben, I have run along the Grosvenor/Gibberagong track many a time and let me tell you that although it starts firetrail, there is NO WAY a cyclist could get to Bobbin Head without about 80% hike a bike!

If you're looking for rides within the region, try the Grosvenor St (starts 50m from Gibberagong trackhead) track to North Turramurra, http://nobmob.com/rides/northturramurra and then head on the Bobbin Head track, which goes 95% of the way to BH, and hike a bike down to the marina. http://nobmob.com/rides/bobbinhead

Just a thought

Cheers,

Tristan

.. there are a couple of km's of fire trail, but once you get to the first steps, it is a walking track and bikes are not allowed. I did take a bike through there a couple of decades ago, but it was pretty much cross country weightlifting rather than a bike ride and I never felt the urge to do it again.....

Thanks guys. Took the fire trials to jubilee fields then down the other side , popped out near Bobbin Head road. Took my 9year old who handled it very well.

Jubilee Fields MTB track is looking good.

We're going to try Lane Cove next weekend.
