riding Oxford Falls DH in Wet Conditions

With all this rain, I was out there yesterday and today with some mates doing general maintenance and fixing up some of the drops & landings, we were very surprised and disappointed to see riders (kids) hitting the DH trail given the current conditions.

Now the wood structures are no longer there means everything is made out of rock and dirt and when it rains heavily this stuff turns into soft mud. So when you ride on these features it makes a mess and damages the landings.

so could those that chose to ride the DH trail in the wet either

1.use your heads and dont ride there if it is likely that you will damage the trail
2.Take a shovel with you and fix the damage that you have doneif you can't resist the temptation to ride this trail when its wet

There are also several areas that have poor drainage and because people are still riding it in very wet conditions, it has become a lot worse, taking a long time to drain and becomes very rutty when it does.

Due to the hardwork of some of the locals, this place is still a great place to ride DH without travelling outside of Sydney.

Lets work together in maintaining it

i doubt the kids you are talking about are from Nobmob or would even surf this site as the average age of us here is about 65+ in the shade( lol) so maybe post it up again on Farkin.net and your more likely to be read by the perpetrators of said heinous act of wet weather riding degeneracy.
