Just had email from NPWS!!!

Serrata track on the Forestville side can now be ridden! All trail work is complete and signage installed.

Please stay out of Gahnia on the Wakehurst Parkway side which is still under construction with more raised platform to be installed to get over highly sensitive sites. Hoping for access to ride early January. More details to follow.

Both tracks are due for ribbon cutting ceremony early next year by key government officials whom have supported us.

... for all the hard work to get things to this happy point.

Well done to the NPWS project team who have delivered this sensational new piece of trail! Eye-wink

It's really important we provide positive feedback, where should we send our thank you emails?

Premier Mike Baird has given this massive support since 2008.

so has the current Environment Minister Rob Stokes

And the entire National Parks team:

Please don't ask questions in email as your thank you will create lots of work for the public servants. Thanks is the best thanks.

And of course commenting on TrailCares facebook page or a thank you here to us at TrailCare and Rob from NobMob would be appreciated too! It's been a long slog since 2008 but well worth it. Trust me there is lots more bubbling below the surface at the moment...

....and just a word of warning, it is a great track, but in my opinion, it is pretty technical for a CROSS COUNTRY track and there are plenty of places where "Mr/Mrs Average" can get hurt, so take it easy on the first run.

Enjoy and thanks to all involved!!

I agree, rode it yesterday afternoon for the first time. Great track, and you can really see how much work has gone into putting it together. But definitely take it very easy on the first run, there is a roll-off about 150m in that places you onto a challenging little off-camber section that just wants to fire you into a shin-destroying rock. Still came out the other side with a massive smile on my face though!

Congrats to everyone who has been involved in the project from the very beginning, it is quite an achievement. I'll be making sure I provide some positive feedback to the parties involved in the project.
