This happens to be at exactly the time I can grab a weeks holiday without my fiance and daughter, who are overseas!
So tentatively I reckon I'll be heading down to the Bra on the Thursday or Friday and sticking around for maybe a week.
Is anyone else planning on heading down and fancy sharing some accommodation or have mates down there with a comfy floor
Stoked,
Matt.
im in but we better sort accommodation out soon or we'll be camping! bbbrrrrr!
Are you guys talking about going down to watch it and go for a ride nearby, say Sparrow Hill ? I don't suppose the XCO track will be open for amateurs outside the scheduled training/races ?
Tom
Though nothing at all concrete as yet, I'll wait a wee while, maybe just till the end of today, then see who's in and do some scouting for accommodation. As long as that's sorted for the time required then we can just go/do whatever.
Gazza - any thoughts on what days you'd want to be down there? Personally I'm thinking Friday to Tuesday, driving home some time on the Tesday so 4 nights staying somewhere, leaves a bit of time to ride Monday/Tuesday, though obviously not a Stromlo!
I did wonder whether to stretch it out to the next weekend with the angry doctor being nearby but I don't think my budget'll stretch to that...
Ta,
Matt.

Personally, I would be interested in seeing the Downhill riding on the Saturday and Sunday.
Cheers.
OK so there seems to be a fair bit of availability still and the going rate for a serviced apt. seems to be $85 per bedroom per night, so (assuming we're not bothered about squeezing in) $42.5 each per night. That's from a couple of spots in the Manuka Park area.
At the moment Gazza and I would be in for the 29th to 1st, anyone else keen to come down?
Ta,
Matt.
