Marramarra - Sat 24th Jan
Bloodwood Road, Fiddletown heads up to the National Park. There's a sharp right bend by Marramarra Ridge Trail, with Coba Point Fire Trail shortly after (the proceeding sharp left). There's parking by either trail which are less than 1km apart, but the area by Coba Point Fire Trail is the go.
Who's up for another 'out of town' ride? Similar in style to Great Northern Road or Menai, there is something for everyone on this ride. Fast single trail, fire break and don't forget all the technical fun-ness. Rocks, tree roots, sand and sniggle. It will be a great day. Let's hope the weather behaves this time!!
The ride is about 30 minutes north of Hornsby, so it shouldn't kill your entire day. Plus, with the length of ride, you are sure to get a decent workout, as part of your 24hr routine!
Looking forward to seeing you there... come on, throw your hat in the ring!!

pikey | A day to learn and live! | After we said good bye to the rides stage one guys, and after bagging them for being woozy girls, I lived to regret that comment, we headed off in search of some nice downhill fun which we did eventually find. After reaching about 80% into the... |

I'm keen for a training ride for the Mont 24hr but don't want to hold you guys back. Are we thinking social or hard at it?
No ride with this many people is fast paced.
You will be fine.

cause im thinking i might check it out next weekend if its easy to follow
join you for this one, but I'll be on my first solo holiday in Kingscliff between the Gold Coast and Byron
so sorry will stick with the closer Menai ride on Monday for me. Hope you guys have a fantastic ride and will be in another time to try out this track for sure!
Saturday is forecast for 35 degrees, 40 in the west. Is there a consensus to commence this ride 30 minutes earlier?
Sound off...
I don't mind. But it's going to be hot either way by the time we finish. Bring your sunscreen!
Yes I don't think 30mins earlier will make much difference - bring lots of water too!
Hope the forecasted "chance of thunderstorms" won't too much in our area
Tom
Seeing that Rob pussied out of this ride, does anyone have a Motion Based track of the trails we rode a couple of years ago?
I found one in the last year ride http://nobmob.com/node/1602#comment-3708
Are we planning to do the same route?
Tom
Tien load the map into your GPS for Saturday!
It may be conducive to get the ride started early with Saturday looking to be a scorcher..
Shane
Marramarra...looks good...but 35-39 degrees tommorrow...
Can anyone give us some clues...e.g. if this is a very exposed trail (hot) or more shady (like Ourimbah?). (% estimate?)
You know ...in this case ...not even (mad dogs and) Englishmen go out in the midday sun....
Cheers, Hans

The ride meeting now commences at 7:30 a.m. Sorry for the late notice, but I think this will be best in the long run. If we can finish our ride before midday, so much the better.
Any chance of lift from Frenchs Forest (Skyline Shops)?
What a day! A big thanks to Greg, Liam, Craig and Andy who helped me survive the killer bout of heat exhaustion that set in. You are all legends.
Cheers
Lee
