Am planning a ride through Cascades - NOT my favourite track but at the moment I am working on my 'hills are my friends' relationship.
I am hoping Paul comes along as I would like do to the ride from Belrose, up to St Ives Showground and back that he took me on about a year ago, I think the ride was about 30ks all up or something along those lines...
Anyway, company would be appreciated! This is social but not soooper slow - she says will full optimism!

.. u nuts? Hills are ur friends? well I may come along...
Bernd
I thought you vowed never to go here again.
Alright I'll come along.....I need some fitness training after Xmas!
but i am in a panic about 'training'... which, by the way, i have decided is terribly overrated!!!
This will be a novelty. I've only ever ridden down from the substation or from the showground, and out at Stone Parade.
I suppose I need to practice going up hills too, just remember I'm SLOWpUP....
Christine, I'll be there but do you know there is no coffee/pie shop in Wyatt Ave, you should start this at TH Shops.
Similar distance for people from both sides and we can get a coffee post ride. Now this is becoming tempting
Let there be light
is the pub at Belrose...? they are open and have nice food and drinks...
I don't mind but i seem to think that starting at the shops in Terrey Hills is going to add ks onto my ride? I am not training for the freakin 100 you know!!!
ps I felt compelled to go through and check my spelling for that one! too funny hey!
THIS IS A JOKE
But did you think about punctuation Christine, the little dot at the bottom of the question mark and the exclamation marks is a sneaky little full stop, so we really need a capital letter after them.
Disclaimer. Firefox has been used here with American spelling, when I struggle American spelling may be used without warning.
I also may use the wrong word completely and worst of all errors of judgment are likely.
Phew!
John.
A funny thing John was, that when I did the spelling I giggled to myself about punctuation and grammer...and ignored them both lol what has poor Delicious started...
Exit at Davidson after the killer climb (one of them) and ride road around to the shops at Glenrose for a coffee.
That is if the coffee shop is still there after the redevelopment dramas.
Nothing wrong with the pub though.
C.
are you coming along then? I haven't seen your new bike yet!
going out to festival of Sydney opening after the central coast ride on Sat...so will definately need a sleep in.
so Christine....are you going to be posting a 4 gates hot lap after this ride?
yeah RIGHT!! (not!)
but Towlers may be up for a visit soon - ghastly I know...
You've seen my post about when we last went there, right?
http://nobmob.com/node/5914
will be in my next ride along with Duck Ponds Waratah (just for paul!) and Centre Track...
Don't forget Salvation and Bairne as well.
are just being cruel...
No, no... you do Elvina when you want to be cruel
scummers, way too much road linking all of those
Let there be light
please don't swear at us and as far as i can see there are no scummers part taking in this ride...
3...
Step into the light...
Oh no Jay.....Christine has just banned you from the ride
Who are the others Junkie?
scummers perhaps?
...I'm so sorry, but I have to confess. I'm a scummer, a noob at that, and I'm bringing another scumnoob along with me. She's never seen a hill before, so knows no better. I've been telling her her frame is filled with helium, so please don't disabuse her, it'll be a laugh.
We may drop off the back, in which case you can quite honestly claim not to know us. On the other hand, if we do make it round we'll buy you all coffee so you'll have no choice but to say hello next time.
Though I hear it's going to rain.
See you Sunday!
Tom and Kerri
Oh look Christine....someone is talking about the weather already. Even I don't bring up the forecast 3 days before
Tom always glad to have a noob along, just a word of warning on Cascades, it's a perfect place to bring;
1) Your ex-wife / ex-husband.
2) Someone you want to hate you forever.
3) Someone you want to turn off riding for life.
4) Your Mother in-law.
5) Your Boss.
6) Your Bank Manager.
7) Any politican.
Cascades is a training ride with sizeable hills and added pain - you had better tell her there is helium in her tyres as well.
you have been superseded ... Thom brought up the weather for the social night ride too!!
Paul, you couldn't have put it any better - I for one will probably grumble and hate everyone on this ride - lucky I got that ipod for Christmas to keep me company as you all ride a distance from me!! lol
Oh how anti social. Post a "social" ride and then bring an iPod so that you don't have to speak or listen to anyone!
isn't what i meant! I MEANT you guys won't want to ride with me as i will be grumbling about the ENDLESS hills...
god i am such a drama queen about this track hey!
... glad I have to pull out due to a party I have to go to on Sat night...!!
Life's a beach, sometimes...
Bernd
First ride @ Cascades therefore not 100% sure where the meet is - keep an eye out for a white Toyota 4Runner.
see us easily - it's a dead end street! buck has a bmw with ben number plates and i have a white ss ute - i can't remember what paul drives but it's nice!
Excellent, I think I should be able to find you
i am off now to a photo shoot and as i don't have a computer at home I won't know who is doing what - however! I will be riding regardless of the weather - that said, if it for some reason is simply pelting down I may waiver from that claim!
MEEE
I may join you all - will confirm by Sat night
...talking about the weather??????
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Bernd
had to get in first to amuse myself!
harry, that would be excellent!
I'll come along and might build this into a longer ride afterwards.
flesh is weak this morning
Back to bed for my beauty sleep
great ride this morning Christine. Thanks for organising it, and thanks to Paul for navigating.
I don't know, maybe I'll try three gates next time.
Nick.
Andy have you just started on this beauty sleep program? Cos' if you've been doing it a while, I think you could safely give it away and just ride
Anon
... given all the nice people who were on the ride. Tien on the second ride within 24 hours!
I was playing tennis with my wife (restocking the brownie points) and saw you all returning to the cars around 10am.
Cheers
Nic
When I woke up nothing had improved
you're right, may as well have stayed awake
That was pretty interesting... I've never ridden the ridge top track in that direction and it's pretty nice that way:
http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/episode/view....
all for coming but even though you are all lovely and sooo nice - I HATE HEATH TRACK
.. so glad, that I had a few to many Bitburger and Stella's!!!
Bernd
I had a late night at a party the night before and while i really DO like the 'roid boys, my heart sank when i turned up to see Shaun, Ladytoast (or Mantoast as Ben calls him!) and Tien there - however, as true social roidy boys they were lovely and even rode back down the hills at times to visit us back runners!! it was a really nice ride... really! And Rob didn't shout at me toooo much!
