Clone Tab

By Rob - Posted on 27 January 2009

By popular demand (really?!) we now have a 'Clone' tab on ride meetings. This is for all those too lazy to copy/paste the text from previous rides when repeat often (no - we will not introduce an auto-repeat - that is just too lazy!).

Just remember to change the date/time and title (it inserts, "Clone of" by default) when using this.

Enjoy! Smiling

Is this just for rides that are created by oneself i.e. rider A can't clone rider X's ride he posted 1 month ago?

Rob's picture

Nah - you can clone a meeting made by anyone. Like, Blondie could think, "Oooh... that hill fest Phil posted looks cool - I'll copy that for this weekend!" Eye-wink

"Please explain?"

Is this something you are still going to implement as I can't see anything yet?

Rob's picture

Oh yeah... might help if I turn it on for the masses. You see the tab now?

Something that is really clear...

Something I amused my self with during lunch! Sticking out tongue

Any time you fancy amusing yourself with my current task of sessionID forwarding to an external download manager let me know Eye-wink

Rob's picture

Wouldn't you do that by embedding said sessionID in a GET variable in the URL?

...as I'm not a programmer Smiling But yes you are right.

Going totally OT; we have an apache website using apache built in authentication (htaccess files etc) but when clients have external download managers that parse links from the browser they doesn't have the user credentials and therefore download links fail. Some download managers prompt for the password, some stupid ones don't. I have to find a way to refer the URL with sessionID to the download manager, I guess by some sort of temporary URL.

Sorry.. I know it's nothing to do with bikes but you did ask Sticking out tongue
