Dam weather
Anyone thinking of riding the Dam tonight - just wondering with all this rain what the conditions were like?

Always check the weather page http://nobmob.com/weather
Personally I don't think going around the Dam this evening is a good idea. I live in Manly vale and I can assure you it rained hard all night and well into today.
Riding on the trail in wet conditions is not good for the trail and unfortunately the Rangers look down on the MTB community if we do. Let's not give them the excuse they need to close down trails. On the bright side your brakes and mech will thank you for not riding in those conditions
Happy trails
Phil
PS The trail will be pretty crappy. The sniggle at the top takes quite a while to drain off
I'm a bit suspicious of our weather page today. It shows no rain at the Dam all weekend. Looking at the BOM radar page it is showing nothing right now.
Although the rain has been constant either the BOM's radar is broken or the rain wasn't heavy enough to register.
Thanks Phil,
Yeh, that's what I was thinking but some in the group I ride with wanted to go over tonight to check. I'll give it a miss, hopefully tomorrow will be drier.
Yeah, I've been thinking the the BOM radar is off-whack at the moment. The downpour we got last night and this morning was nowhere to be seen on the BOM radar?
The observations page for Terrey Hills has at least capture the rainfall correctly: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN60901/IDN60901... From 8pm last night through to 9am this morning we got quite a drenching.
