Regular Downhill Weekend Shuttles?
My downhill bike is collecting too much dust!
Im looking for a group of 3 or 4+ people to do regular downhill runs with. Like weekly or fortnightly on a weekend at maybe Ourimbah or Oxford Falls.
I'm happy to hire a trailer / van / share petrol costs, etc.

Would be happy to go on a weekend, but not every weekend. Can't devote every weekend to that kind of riding. I get too unfit otherwise.

around i don't mind drivng up and down for a bit ... my ute can fit four bikes - Liam? it is four isn't it?

Yes, 4 is fine. As long as you have the carpets to lay over the rear of the tray to protect the bikes.

Well weekly/fortnightly is pretty optimistic. Maybe every 3-4 weeks, just happy to make it a regular thing.

I have a new (sort of) Giant Faith that I need to learn how to thrash.
That and I'm only little so I'll fit anywhere in a ute / trailer!
great idea - once a month would be good, wont mind chipping in for the petrol cost either
If these rides are happening on sundays, count me in. I also have a ute for shuttles.

So, pick a date after the Mont weekend and I am sure you will get some takers. I would want to go. Ourimbah and Oxford Falls are good choices. You can do more shuttles at Oxford Falls just because of the layout. Ourimbah takes anywhere up to 30 minutes to do each run. So Oxford Falls would be my choice.

I think we will all be keen to see you on this new beast. Has it been ridden in anger at Menai yet?
I'm keen to get back out there a bit more regularly, my dh bike hasn't seen much action lately either. Think every fourth week is more realistic for me, Sunday mornings preferred. I still have the ute for shuttles of course!

Yes, the Faith is up and running and has been used at Menai…………just not by me that’s all!
Steve’s forks on his Nomad were stuffed so I let him use the Faith a couple of weekends ago. With his normal length seat post and a 500lb spring (perfect for his scrawny 80kg body weight) he basically used it as a trail bike, albeit a little heavier than normal.
He seemed very happy with it and ended up giving it a decent workout from what I could see. So hopefully the brakes are bedded in and the forks should be loosened up!
I’m picking it up from him tonight so hopefully I should get to ride it on the weekend
Great news Matt!! Sounds like your bike will be a winner. And 'bout bloody time too. You always looked gigantic on those puny XC bikes.
Get your bike back from Mook and ride some fun stuff!!

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply (Was close to going to NZ for work for a bit, but not now).
So looks like *Sundays* and *Oxford Falls* are the go!
After the Mont weekend would be Sunday 12th April. Or even squeeze one in beforehand?
Is that all good with the Nate, christine & Paul_J with the shuttling?
(We should all chip in a few bucks for petrols, etc)

I cannot ride on the Mont weekend or the Easter weekend (10th Apr to 13th Apr). Possibly any other Sunday will be good.
in a fit of niceness or total blondness i said i'd support those happy, insane 24hr solo boys over easter and will be at the mont with liam the weekend before..19th is ok if you want me to drive you up and down then....
I can provide for shuttling (up to 7 people), just need a trailer. Post up the day in the rides calendar and we can see what numbers would be expected.
I'm keen, just name a date.
