Mellow greetings.
Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster. Well second time poster. I just posted something and thought it rude to post and not introduce myself.
Soooo... I'm 35, live in the Blue Mountains, ride to work in Penrith, enjoy my job, have a wife who is good value, have 2 little girls, ride off road whenever I can (which isn't enough- see previous point), and I am over searching for and cutting firewood. I know a couple of members on here but I shall not reveal who as they may not want to admit any association!
So there it is. Hi.

... erm... is there much else to say?
See you out there!
Hi and welcome.
Hi and welcome from me too.
"You crazy man," what's taken you so long to get on board the best MTB site in the world?
I should post a ride so you can meet some of the MoB
John.
Well Mr. Groover, I'm incredibly intelligent but bone lazy (according to my dad), hence the late intro. How goes things?
Having lurked for so long I have come to realise that you guys go on some cool rides and have some fun. A membership that is slightly more mature than some of the other forums, but with just enough immaturity to appeal to my sense of humour convinced me to bite the bullet. I like!
Looking forward to some of the well documented group rides.
I'm nearly ready for a ride now due to my under employed status lately, are you up for one today?
Negative. The aforementioned firewood duties are a-callin'. I ship out in 15 minutes for a day of playing lumberjack in the lowlands. I've been on annual leave for 2 weeks, with 2 weeks to go and haven't ridden once! What a travesty.
I'm keen for a Lawson night ride soon so watch for that JP. Also BM epic is going to post one in a couple of weeks around Lawson. I went out with BM epic and Jeff today for a practice run for the Oaks race next weekend that I haven't entered, (they have).
I recognise you from Farkin after the Groove gave your name away
I just moved to the upper mountains a couple of months ago - so howdy neighbour
Cutting wood is still a novelty for me (well, kind off)
As is freezing my nuts off - I've never worn so many clothes
I travel to Sydney for Nobmob rides every so often, so I can pick you up if you're keen
We may meet up soon on an informal weekend turgid ride
the plus to still living in Sydney is that you can buy your wood already chopped and delivered..oooh the convenience
spooky! was thinking about this a little while ago too!
firewood? do you even have a fire... or did you mean the Steve ride george?
blondie???
George, that if you had hair it would be blonde today..
Yes I ran into BM and Jeff as they were entering Springwood. Had a great discussion on the benefits of using 20mm recycled concrete rubble for raised garden beds. Toddski mentioned a Lawson thrash next week. I'm in.
Hello Andy. Drop me a line if you're up for a local ride.
To all the others extolling the merits of buying firewood- SHAME ON YOU! It's un-Australian to even consider purchasing firewood. (I say that 'cos I do not have the money to buy it!). Imagine how manly I felt today slicing through tree boughs, chainsaw revving, newly sharpened chain making small work of nature. My socks now resemble a woodwork shop floor but that's OK, the wife loves trying to wash 'em.
i would love it if a 'manly man' came around to my place to saw up firewood with his chain saw.. however, it's highly unlikely and as I prefer dry firewood not that practical right now... so, i will just get the bloke up the road to deliver some to me..all chopped and ready to go... unless, of course, your wife hires you out?
HMMM... tempting as it may sound Christine, I really only have the capacity to be domestically opressed by one female at a time. Sorry.
