Top Day Out

What a great afternoon and evening of riding and racing.

And a really nice change to ride in conditions that weren’t like a blast furnace. I went back to my tried and true strategy of just enjoying the ride and saving the racing if there was to be any for the last lap or two and it worked as I was able to finish the race with a quick lap and some solid uphill climbing to hold on for second place.

Lots of fun and a great short track that really was very enjoyable.

Round 2 - Sunday 17th Jan.

I'm finally about ready to ride again and I've never been to Menai. Given I've got to be on that side of town on Saturday morning, sounds like a great time to squeeze in a quick spin.

Somebody want to show me where it is and whip me around a trail? I've heard good things about it and I wanna get some for myself... I guess I'm around the intermediate skill and fitness level and the photos of this place look awesome.

Manly Dam records for single speed, fixed gear or unicycle?

Hi guys,
I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. Anyone have any records or good times for doing a loop at Manly Dam either on a single speed, fixed gear or unicycle? I'm trying to compare my times with others. I just broke my personal best the other day and did it on a 26" unicycle in 54 minutes and 4 dismounts. My goal is to do it under 50 minutes with 1 or 0 falls. Let me know if you ride a unicycle, single speed or fixed bike so I have something to compare to. Also, just curious to what the record is for the fastest time on any bike if anyone knows?

I had fun but am a little disappointed with a few things that went wrong to slow me down on the day.

The start was a little sluggish my legs felt like they were filled with cement and I just couldn’t get a good rhythm going after the 25km mark I started to get the bike moving and it started to feel like it had some flow and the race started to feel good I hit the 50k water station in 2hrs 48min filled up the camelback and continued on up the hill in good form with my legs and body finally warmed up.

My new SS commuter thanks to Mr Rudd. I've since added a smaller 13t cog and skinny tires....on peeled off all unneccessary stickers for aesthetics. Goes real nice

Charge Duster SS gear ratios

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Thanks to K-Rudd, I've finally been given the green light to get a new bike for my bumpy work commute. After much deliberation, I've decided to go with a Charge Duster SS: http://www.chargebikes.com/products/bikes/detail...

I would like a little bit of help please, to decide on what gear ratio to use so that I can get the right chainring sorted.
