Who is this course for?

SAT, SUN down to dusk down hill 'carnage'. If you got your own DH bike & equipment, just come to say hello to the shop before we - less gifted arrange the hire. Who needs, can join us for initiation otherwise see you on the slopes!

First all if you havent got this months issue (its like a special issue) of Australian Mountain Bike (no I dont work for them) you should because the whole issue has like 48, 2page spreads on all the best trails in Australia. Get it!
Just thought I'd wack some pics and thoughts up about the DH track (and a little of the XC) track at Jubilee Park in Toowoomba.

Categories: Same as for State and National Races.
Extensive changes to the track have occurred in the past few months, including new B-Lines at Lenny's Lefty/Wombat and Battle On with many more line modifications planned to make the trail more accessible to the non elite.
Ever had
... one of those days when you just feel off your game and are just not riding as well as you know you can?
We headed out for our usual Tuesday night ride, only two of us and Austo had to head of early so we decided on a fast and furious lap up Hassans and down the old DH track.
Got to the top OK, puffing and panting but feeling pretty good. Set the helmet cam and set off after Austo. Was struggling a bit to stay on line, bounced my battery out of it's holder, stopped to refit it and then caught back up, Austo had stopped to wait for me.
LAST ROUND OF OURIMBAH DH RACING!
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
This is the last round for the year of racing at Ourimbah.
At the moment I have someone to shuttle me. (We may be there practicing on Sat the day before as well if anyone is keen).
This is my first race so Im entering in the recreational sport section. Recreational times range from around 3:57 to 5:10 minutes (compared to elite which range from 3:13-4:09).
Should be lots of fun and if you've ever considered racing its pretty cheap and casual according to the old man who had his first two races a few weeks back.

Going to go and check this one out. Its been on the list for a while now. Was going to be sunday but apparently they have a race on.

Anyone keen for this on sunday (28th, this weekend). Does anyone know if any racing is due for that Sunday because this is just purely to scope it out and I wouldnt want to be in the way of racers. If people are keen ill lock in a ride meeting. Either way, the old man and I are gonna go check it out as we've never ridden there before. Im sure the trusty rides section of this site will help us out.
