Rockshox reverb warranty?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiences getting a Rockshox Reverb repaired under warranty? I've had mine for less then 12mths and it has developed a 10mm drop/play in the post when under weight and also wont hold the 250psi. I purchased it from Merlin cycles and am hoping I don't have to send it back to the UK. Thanks.

SRAm nightmare

I'm had a stack today and not only did I gave my rear wheel a buckle I managed somehow to misplace the trigger part of my SRAm X1 trigger.
I have tried Uncle Google on how to re assemble but cannot find anything to get the spring and the other bits back in place.
Looking at getting the whole thing replaced looks costly and don't mind taking it to my LBS but they probably will charge me for a new one.
Any assistance on this would be great one as I have already pulled a good part of my lovely locks just trying to put the spring back in.

Jockey Wheels

I need to replace my two Jockey wheels.
Is it worth paying double $$ ($50) to get ceramic jockeys over standard Shimano XT ones?
Is there any benefits?

converting to 1x11

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

OK so I know this has been discussed before many times but here goes anyway
I want to convert my 2011 specialized epic comp carbon 29er to a 1x11
My question is should I stick to sram components or go to shimano
I basically want to keep my xo truvativ carbon cranks if possible and get a narrow wide up front probably 32-34T
Was thinking going SRAM xx1 rear derailleur and cassette or shimano xtr not sure about front shifter yet

Any advice on gear would be much appreciated as this is all new to me

Just joined mountain biking with my sons, between us we ride three Giants (All sourced via Gumtree)
me - Yukon 2009
Son #1 - 2008 Alias
Son #2 - 2005 STP2

Mucking around in the yard on Saturday and this happened to my Yuk....

I need new forks, and ask for help in selecting.
We are riding mostly the Kalamunda Circuit (climb, descent, repeat), I am 5'11" and a shade under 0.1T.

What should I be looking at, air? Spring? Manitou, Rock Shox, other?
Budget is around $400 landed.

Have a weekend of riding planned for weekend after next so Chainreaction is probably out.,

convert 29er to 27.5?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

im just after peoples thoughts of converting a 29er in to a 27.5? would it work or would the 29er frame be to big for the 27.5 rims? and would it look stupid?

i just dont want to spend the money on a new bike.

Pike customised to shorter travel

Has anyone tried this or have thoughts on whether it's worthwhile? I'm not talking volume reducer tokens that just change the spring curve, but an actual change in travel length.

I'm riding a 120 revelation RL at the mo and it doesn't have enough chutzpah for my kind of Sydney riding. Opinions welcome

Shimano M8000 XT 1x11

Shimano have just done a media day and the first reviews are starting to come out. Hopefully the release date of August is wrong as I'd love to put this on my new bike build.

Going by the prices in this article and converting to A$ the full groupset excluding wheels, FD and front shifter comes to $1472.

Overnight wilderness trip

I want to go on an overnight wilderness trek and want to attach a lightweight tent onto my bike and wanted any recommendations. I was thinking of trying a bike store in Katoomba for help.
