Converting to a 2 x10

Hello Esteem riders,

I just bought my self a Shimano SLX M665 double Chain set for my 2012 Trance x3

Will this fit?

I have sram x5 Front shifter

FD Shimano Deore 10 sp. 34.9

Sram X9 Front shifter

RD Sram X9 type 2

I was hoping to chuck it on without much more additional cost.

What you reckon
Cheers

Making the Leonardi Racing Kit General Lee 11/40 SRAM cassette kit shift properly!

For my previous comments on the General Lee (GL) adapter see - http://perthmtb.asn.au/node/43354

After much adjusting, tinkering, swearing, cursing and using objectionable language, I've finally fixed the shifting of the GL adapter to be close to my SRAM and XT systems. Initially I could get the system to shift to a higher gear (smaller sprocket) but hang changing to a lower gear (to larger sprocket) or shift to a lower gear ok, but hang shifting to a higher gear (to a smaller sprocket). I've now got it shifting both ways with no hangups.

The planets aligned and my dream bike is born

Liteville - German precision from the same guys as Syntace
160mm travel at 13.3kg's and not carbon and no weight weeny
Optimised for a 650b front and 26 rear (B-26)

Incredible ride
What happens at the pedals has no influence on the rear suspension and vice versa

Overgeared and clattery with 3 x 9 but need to let my wallet recover before updates

Such a nice change from previous bikes - I love it!

Overseas helmets

We at at Mt Buller doing a National Round and yesterday in the cross country the officials checked my helmet twice for the Australian compliance sticker (in practice and on the finish line). So don't bring your overseas helmet! Downhill today so it will be interesting to see if they check there.

Correct grease for pivot bearings?

Anyone know if there is a specific grease I am supposed to use to clean and repack my maestro 4 suspension pivot/frame bearings?

Thanks

Sticky Piston

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Folks,

I have recently had probs with a piston in a set of Juicy 5's that wont fully retract...

I bleed some fluid to help increase the gap, and always ensure (yeh, right) that I remove the pad prior to applying anything.

Just wondering what people use for lubrication??

I used a little bit of silicon spray in a syringe just around the pistons, which helped, but I am worried that it may attract dust (I am in the NW)

Ideas??

Ps. And no I will not be buying a set of brakes from other reputable brands in the interim, so don't type it!

Tubeless

I've just got a bike with tubeless wheels and I know nothing about them. Couple of really basic questions: They seem to lose a little bit of air over a few weeks - is this normal? Also when you are out riding what do you take in case of puncture (or whatever tubeless do when they deflate?)

Hope jockey wheels on X0 type 2

hi,
looking for new jockey wheels for my X0 type 2 (2013) and thought these here looked good:

http://www.hopetech.com/page.aspx?itemID=SPG423

does anyone know if they will fit? it says they won't fit SRAM with 'two pin wheel location', but I think that's a different model to mine?..

thanks
