Manly Dam update for 25 Nov
Dear Riders,
I am pleased to announce: The track is once again OPEN!
Thank you again to those who stayed off the track and for the suggestions re: non-compliers.
There will be track maintenance taking place along the Wakehurst stretch early tomorrow and the track will therefore be closed from 7am till 8am (just the Wakehurst stretch – between water tanks and fire trail).
Please note that most areas of track have not undergone maintenance. Unfortunately they will remain the same for now and we will work them into the budget as quickly and effectively as possible. Thank you for your patience in this matter. Any photographs of areas that are in desperate need of attention are welcome.
Kind Regards,
Manly Dam Rangers

Front ANSTO
It is a bit late but I would prefer to go riding with more people, specially since half the ride will be after dark. If keen to come but can't make it on time let me know.

Appin update for 25 Nov
On finishing my night lap yesterday ran into the RFS, they were back burning last night and plan to continue on Friday Night and Saturday. These burns could be cancelled if the wind is blowing towards the mine.

Have your say about Manly Dam!
From Warringah Council:
Manly Warringah War Memorial Park (Manly Dam) is the largest bushland reserve managed by a local council on the northern beaches. The Park covers an area of about 375 ha of which 78% is bushland. Manly Dam itself is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Sydney, with a surface area of about 30 ha and unlike other waterways in bushland parks, it is freshwater, deep and safe for different water based activities.

Some image gallery changes
Just a heads up...
I've been making some changes to the way image galleries work tonight so please shout out if you see any 'funny' things happening.
The way ride meeting galleries have been working in the past was less than ideal. One had to create a gallery then post images into that gallery, but because there were an ever growing number it was a real PITA to find the right one.

stolen MTB - get on the blower!
Hi anyone who had a MTB bike stolen this last weekend or so should contact the manly police station on 99779499. There's a small article in the manly daily today.....

WTF? Garmin Connect now using Microsoft Bing Maps
