Late Post: Oaks up and down and maybe some more.

When:
Saturday, 6 October, 2007 - 08:25

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
The Oaks

Going for a training ride and here is the plan:

1- Leave Glenbrook station, bypass the single track on the uphill and go all the way to Woodford.
2- Ride down the Oaks to the beginning of the single track and if the legs allow, go up again till the helipad and then go back all the way to Glenbrook.

I'm not sure if this second leg will happen, but I'm willing to try anyway.

I'm going to Glenbrook by train, so I may get a little late depending on Cityrail's mood.

In search of a longer stem, for the bike

I'm looking for a longer stem than I currently have and am hoping someone out there has a spare they can lend me for a couple of weeks so I can see how it feels before I go off spending money on one.

So heres what I am after in an ideal world

1 1/8 steerer
25.4 bar
approx 6 degree slope
120 or 130 mm long

If you have something like this sitting around your spare parts box and are happy to lend it too me for a couple of weeks plese PM me.

Any variations on slope or length will be good as long as it is longer than 100mm.

Cheers

Stuart

windtrainer needed

Hello!

I need to buy a wind trainer and was wondering if anybody can give me a recommendation for a decent one that doesn't cost a fortune? Or maybe somebody has one and wants to sell it?
Any advice would be great!

Cheers,
Caro

MTB Skills

Hello all,

Does anyone know of any groups/organisations where you can learn Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced MTB skills? Preferably in or near Sydney.

I know the best practice is time in the saddle but I certainly have picked up a few bad habits (like crashing) on the way,

I did a training course some time ago in the UK it really helped my confidence and let me understand the basics. I would like to hone my skill and learn how to hit the bigger jumps, gaps etc without the damage to my ego and bike.

Cheers
JJ
