Manly Dam update for 28 Jan
With the huge amount of rain we're currently receiving, obviously trail conditions are poor and riding will cause significant damage to the trail.
If looking after the trail is not enough to dissuade you, consider the damage the abrasive sandy mud will do to your bike and the risk of crashing on ice-like slippery timber section and tree roots.
If you must ride, the Duck Holes - Centre Track loop is the best option.
Judging by the weather forecast for the next week, I don't expect Manly Dam's status to change inside the next 7-8 days.

Gopro H3 Black edition $430Aus delivered
So given you are reading this I'm guessing that price has got your attention. Have seen it under $400 US plus delivery if you can get them to deliver here but haven't seen it that cheap locally. Forget their $781 "was" price but I think the $430 delivered Aus wide with Aus guarantee is pretty reasonable. Happy shopping anyone with spare dollars after Christmas.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Mudgee singletrack (now with pics)
I'm in Mudgee this weekend visiting friends. They mentioned that they'd read in the paper that the council had approved some mountain bike trails so I chucked my bike in the ute hoping to get a ride or two in. I'm glad I did as the trails here are great. There are trails everywhere in the area and I definitely didn't ride them all. The ground is a mixture of loose shail and hard pack which makes it interesting especially some of the climbs, and there is a lot of climbing! You're more than rewarded for the climbs by some awesome downhill sections.

Wanted: Thule 9001 Raceway
Looking for a thule 9001 bike rack, please contact me if you have one your willing to sell.

Wanted: Cable Cutters
Looking for a set of cable cutters. new or second hand doesn't matter as long as there half decent and in good nick. I need to trim my hydro hoses. Just let me no what you want for them.

Appin update for 27 Jan
Since November last year the Wollondilly MTB Club has been working towards getting the Tharawal-Appin area formailsed for mtbing again. If you're interested in helping out the two best ways you could do it would be to join the club ($20 without MTBA license http://www.wollondillytrailblazers.asn.au/member... ) or send a letter of support to
[email protected]
The membership is the better option for the club because it formalises the number of people we represent, but an individual letter will also help demonstrate the numbers wanting to ride at Appin again.
Things are looking positive at this stage and the more support the better!

St Helena update for 26 Jan
Ok did St Helena for the first and last time today.
It's nothing how I think it used to be. The firetrail is pretty smooth but the singletrack off it is atrociously overgrown... and the hike down is of course as bad.
Basically there's not much point anymore... all the technical stuff gone and an hour of hiking... Go Oaks from now.
