Manly Dam update for 04 Feb
As noted previously, the Warringah Council Facebook page says that Manly Dam is open for mountain biking.
However the gate across the entry to the Golf Course Singletrack is still there and the sign says closed.
But if you were to act based on Facebook and climb under you would find the track is indeed very clean and rideable with some mostly avoidable puddles and a little seepage in all the expected places. Not as wet as I was expecting. I only did one lap - I think if you did two or more then your bike would need a clean and a bit of attention to the drivetrain.
If there is no more rain then I'd guess it will be "green/open" before the weekend.

I'm putting 'Amber/Some Issues' here though as surely it's still quite wet.

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 04 Feb
After recent heavy rain YRP is holding up well.Some minor issues with a few wet spots, some washed out sections,closed trails and black snakes but still a good ride.

Old Man's Valley Official Opening Postponed
This normally wouldn't make front page news, but given the last story...
Sorry folks, due to bad weather the OMV official opening has been postponed. The track will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
We've waited this long... please respect this decision and be patient.
Ourimbah State Forest update for 01 Feb
Rode Ourimbah this morning, track was ok with a bit of mud here and there. Only issue is the bridge over the creek at the bottom of the Drop Off has been washed away.

Ten years ago I used to get home at this time on a sunday morning after a big night out, now I go out for a ride instead 
With OMV still closed this weekend I'm riding ku ring gai national park instead. Happy to have company - social pace.
Actual route to be confirmed as we go along and will depend on the state of the duck hole, chiltern and centre trails.
Old Man's Valley Official Opening & Post Ceremony Ride
There's a very exciting weekend coming... and also some confusion over what is happening so please take note:
On Saturday Feb 2 Old Man's Valley will officially be opened by Hornsby Council. As some may have heard, there will be an official ceremony in the morning.
This ceremony is invitation only. No matter how much you appreciate their efforts, please give the council the space they need to perform these official duties.
Following the ceremony, the track will be open to all from midday on. See our ride: OMV Midday Ride (Post Official Opening).
