Death of the Elixir 7's
Hi,
I had something of a branch/disc brake event whilst out on the bike the other day. The branch managed to wedge itself into the rotor, met the chainstay, bent the disc and then the bent disc has taken a chunk out of the caliper too. End result - one dead Elixir 7 caliper and rotor.
SO.....options are, replace with the same OR do I upgrade to something better? Have to admit that the longer I've had the Elixir's (they're a year old now), the more troublesome and noisy they're becomming.
Bike Lanes for a Healthier Sydney
What a surprise. Bikes lanes encourage cycling, reduces congestion on the roads and makes you healthier

Happy with that. Pre group ride at dusk. Even had to stop for 2 horses on the return trip... Kept the timer running - obviously.
Damp patches here... Sandy patches there... Wtf?

Short track racing returns to St Ives Mini Bike Track thanks to CBD and Manly Warringah MTB Club. Wednesday Nights.
Dates are as follows:
Feb 13th - March 13th - April 4th
Races start at:
6.00pm - C Grade & B Grade Women (20mins)
6.20pm - B Grade, Cyclo Cross , A grade Women (25mins)
6.45pm - A Grade (30 mins)
Race Entry $ 10 - extra category $ 5
Series Prize Money - A grade men and women equal Cash of
1st - $ 125 2nd $ 75 Third $50
Trophies for minor Categories down to Third Place !

NoBMoBers ...eat schnitzels ...and some humble pie...!
Great turnout at last night's Social Night Ride...15 NobMobbers enjoyed the perfect trail conditions...
Our special guest Jamie on the MTB unicycle set a cracking pace on the trails - most of the time he was at the head of our peloton - incredible...
...and the real shock happened when he climbed the infamous Long Trail pinch climb without putting a foot down....
P.S. There were plenty of requests for more regular night rides ...so here is the next one - come along for the fun!

SOCIAL Night Ride @ Terrey Hills, Perimeter + Long Trail
This ride starts at 7:00pm at the Japanese School Roundabout (end of Echunga road), to avoid the muddy bits and to get us back in time to get schnitzeling at the Tavern.
The more the merrier.
