Lane Cove National Park update for 30 Jan

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Plenty of damp patches and a bit of water flowing at the creek crossings, but a lot drier than I thought it would be. There is a big tree down on the track towards the West Pymble end of the valley. Took a bit of clambering to get through it with my bike.

Best cruising ride for ages

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Decided to bite the bullet on what could be the muddiest ride to date... Perimeter / long trail after 200mm of rain 2 days ago. The organised full moon ride was postponed to next week, but I was still keen. Dragged out the old Raven, not wanting to bugger up the gear on my premier ponies.

Terrey Hills update for 30 Jan

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Wow ! 200mm of rain 2 days. Pretty much gone. Went in from the school. Damp and tachy, only 2 puddles really. Amber only due to there being 2 trees down. One halfway into perimeter from nerang. The other at the beginning of the long trail. Chainsaw needed...

How does Duck Hole & Chiltern hold up in wet periods

HI All

I haven't ridden Duck Hole or Chiltern tracks before, how do they hold up in wet periods? (As an alternative to the Japanese School to the end of the Long Trail)?

Cheers
