Schwalbe Nobbly Nic mounted backwards

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I've read on several different forums to mount the NN reverse. This forum included. Was it Hawkeye or Gazza who has mentioned it a few times?

So I thought I'd give it a try.
Most of my riding is around Manly Dam, Cascades, Duckhole & Centre track.

Ooh, bugger!

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Was riding home last night via Spit West, and after passing really wide around a bunch of dog-walkers that were scattered all over the marina park shared path, I sat down a bit awkwardly and my seat shifted, tilting backwards.

Bugger. The bolt's come loose. Sad

I ride to the end of the park and lean the bike against a park bench. Out comes the multitool and I loosen the bolt so I can level the seat.

Highland fling ride alternatives

Hi all,
I will be accompanying a friend who in turn is accompanying a friend who is racing at the Fling. I was hoping to be able to ride while we wait for the racing friend to finish, but looking at the course map and not being to familiar with the area I'm not sure if this is possible.
Does anyone know if this is practical? My other option was driving back towards Welby and spending the morning riding the trails there.

Suggestions to alternative riding in the area is much appreciated.

Number (1)13 - upside down??

So, drew number 113 for my next race. What's the convention for mtb races?
I know roadies turn no 13 around, think I've seen a 113 upside down too?
Wouldn't want to get disqualified by some overzealous official...
Thanks

Help to find Stans rimstrips urgent

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

JUst changing to Schwalbe RR/NN snakeskin Tubeless ready after using the old nonTL ones.

I use the standard stans rimstrips. I cannot get them to seat. They inflated, but even at 60psi , just wont pop out and seat.

Some quick checking shows the new TL tyres have a bigger bead, and may not seat with the standard rimstrip. The strop does fit very snuggly under the edge of the rim. Some suggested using the smaller Olympic rim strip.

BUT i need to buy tomorrow Friday in Sydney somewhere. Anyone know a LBS (north/city/east) that carries stans strips??
