Back Yamma Bigstack
Driving home yesterday afternoon I thought that its nearly the end of the year and I’ve finally finished a 100K race (this year’s seen a Dirtworks DNF and a Husky last min change to the 50) sure I did the nearly 400K Mountains to beach, but the longest MTB race stage was “only” 90K’s.

Back Yamma Big Foot 100k
What a great race , no mud and very few hills to contend with .
There was quite a strong headwind on some of the open paddock sections making it a tough slog
Not really technical but very fast and flowy and peddaling for 95% of the lap
Managed to wobble over the line around 5:38 , unofficial time , with a very dodgey tummy
Nearly got taken out by three Roos but stopped just in time as they jumped across the track .
The last quarter of the race hurt but I am happy to have finished all three 100k races I have attempted this year , Capital Punishment , the Husky and now Big Foot

Back Yamma 100
Had a great day, bunged my shoulder in the first 10 mins. Kept on going and finished in around 6:30:00
Decided to head back to Sydney after a little nap.

Red Hill update for 05 Sep
Pretty good on the whole. Some wet bits but generally dry and rideable.

Ourimbah / ccomtb
Hi all. I was up at Ourmbah yesterday with mrs, trying out some bikes etc.
We haven been up there for nearly a year.
How good is it? The new woodern berm-wall and some of the mini gap-jumps?
I wanted to write something to openly commend the guys at CCOMTB (and any other involved trail faries) for doing such great work on the track and looking after it so responsibly.
Obviously there are bits that get damaged by the rain, and other bits that are being worked on, but there are great work arounds and such a maze of options available now.
