Red Hill
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.
Never ridden red hill before and have always wanted to. Hopefully a few experienced riders can guide and show us the good stuff. Socal pace, not training for anything, just having fun.
Have no idea how long the ride will be as i've never ridden there.
Thanks everyone and see you there..

Technical Question: Removing a rear cassette lockring
Hi everyone, my order from crc came after lots of emails and about 3 weeks of waiting. Within the contents was my new toolkit which i got to start doing general maintenance.
Im trying to remove my rear cassette lockring with all the correct tools and the lockring will move bout 3˚ with not an overwhelming amount of resistance but then just stop. I cant get it to move any further then 3˚.
Any ideas??
Btw i've removed the skewer, inserted the lockring tool with the guide on it, then holding it with the chain whip and loosening anti-clockwise.
Thanks!

Dragging pads
I just put some new break pads and fluid in my Hayes 9 (front brakes) on thursday last week. I rode about 100km on the weekend and midway through my race (BYBF) i noticed that they were starting to constantly drag. Nothing major but i know that they're not meant to rub at all with the disc.
The disc isn't warped, the front caliper is in seemingly good condition and i just gave my bike a thorough cleaning but the rubbing sound is still persisting.
Any suggestions?
