The Oaks

HI, Will be doing the Oaks tomorrow - Woodford to EMu PLains.

Can anyone assist with the directions from Glenbrook to Emu Plains. Was thinking to get on the train a little bit earlier at Emu plains and get a little more riding in.

Thanks

Lithgow - Capertee Valley

Peter Beggs and myself had a fabulous day out...

Lithgow to Capertee via Blackfellows Hands, Baal Bone Gap, Gardens of Stone NP into Capertee Valley, and to the Hwy @ Capertee.

Weather was exceptional and we had a hoot through some of the most picturesque country around...

Manly Dam update for 08 Jul

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

Rode it this morning and it was in great condition. Love the new work they've done on it. It was pretty much all dry except for a couple minor areas. Should be a nice weekend for riding it.

Terrey Hills update for 08 Jul

Status:
Green/Open

Started opposite the vet on Booralie Rd. A few wet patches until after the rocks but mostly dry after that. I suspect the 1st k is still pretty wet so starting further down is a good idea.

North Turramurra update for 08 Jul

Status:
Green/Open

Rode from Samuel King Oval along the sniggle to McRae Pl then up the fire trail to Golden Jubilee this arvo, then back to North Turra via the fire trail and Lovers Jump Ck track. A few damp spots but otherwise fine. The guys from World Trail were still hard at it at Golden Jubilee after 4.00pm on a Friday. Impressive. Pump track starting to take shape as well now.

Interesting concept from Giant Bikes re: sponsor a 'real' rider vs sponsor a pro

Came across this today whilst kicking about youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/user/giantbikesaus

http://www.giantrealriders.com.au/

Want to be a sponsored rider for riding the way you like?

Kinda cool.

Yes I am entering and no I am not affiliated with Giants bikes... haha I just ride them and love them.

a question re 19th hole Manly Dam

In my view, 19th hole has a fundamental problem hiding in its final roll over - yes, for most simple mortals myself included it's a roll over and as such it's the one line only - the last stone has a tendency to wander around and could present a problem if moved further down the line.. well, it did to me once - I did jump it, but since then I've been feeling a little twitchy each time I approach the section..

I am wondering if something could be done about it - remove it completely, or stabilize, etc..

My training schedule for the Back Yamma Big Foot has been interrupted with illness and lower back issues over the last 6 weeks, so looking to ease back into getting some kilometres in the legs.
