After a bit of stress selling off some bikes that weren't getting as much use as they should. The planets aligned and a Scott Scale 29 RC feel into my lap.
Took a little bit of a gamble and went for the large frame, fits me like a glove. Can't see the ASR getting much use, it maybe forsale soon (once I work out what to replace it with).
Having so much fun on this bike, been out to Mount Annan the last two days.
Why can't you ride when its real wet, muddy? I know it apparently

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Emu Plains Station carpark (two before Glenbrook to catch an extra downhill at the end and secure a place on the train before the Oaks mob boards at Glenbrook) to catch the 08:13 train up to Wentworth Falls.
To be rescheduling after the %%$^%#$ weather reports advised about the winds scheduled, and the tracks are probably covered with fallen trees.
The pace will be "brisk social" - This will mean a couple of stops will happen at the creeks and the helipad, though besides that I want us to be able to move along at a fairly rapid pace, so it'd be preferable to ride with people with a higher degree of fitness.
Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 12 Jun
First time out there - so not sure what this place is usually like trail wise.
Weatherwise - no rain today, but it looked like a couple of mm fell out there overnight. Some of the climbs uphill through the trees were fairly damp - I was running race king tyres and had almost no grip - so take it easy and use some caution here.
Everywhere else was great - the open areas had just enough moisture to settle the dust and really hook into the berms.
Was pretty popular out there given it seems like the only dry place to ride.
Tight trail, but pretty fun - except of those outrageous loose rock sections scattered around the blue loop.

Trail status - Camden River
Did this run this morning about 8am.
Not been a drop of rain there, grip is really good. I even managed the second creek crossing without putting
A foot down. Couple of bits are a bit sandy but over all it's in very good condition. The big log roll has also had some dirt and smaller logs built up each side so it can be navigated without going over the bars. (Ben

Well worth the trip down if you want to avoid the rain.

Folks,
With all the reain, please update the trail status so those planning to ride Monday morning can plan appropriately. We are thinking of heading to Appin for the first time and it looks like it may still be ok
