Terrey Hills update for 10 Jun
Avoid the Terrey Hills end of perimeter trail, as it is seriously wet (parts of it resemble a clay pit thanks to the horses) even after the last few dry days. If you join at the Northern Beaches Christian School / Japanese School junction you will miss almost all of the worst of the mud.
Definitely would rate that first part as a RED - Don't trash your drive train but the Second part is damp but rideable without putting too much wear and tear on the drive train.

Manly Dam... This won't be the last works!
The recent works to Manly Dam would have required a level of planning. Its got me thinking there is likely to be another 'attack' on the track in the near future.
I can't understand the council on this. They ran forums where there was overwhelming support by mountain bikers. A key theme by this group was no dumbing down of the trail.
I'm going to call council today to ask who is responsible for these planned works and request a meeting. Perhaps we also need to organize a large group of us to attend the next council meeting in protest.
End of rant...

Inspiration for new trails to try
Hiya,
Been the long weekend I have the option of an extra days biking. I'd like to try somewhere new, always get a good buzz of a new trail. looking for something around the sydney area(ish).
A quick run down of where I've been - Awaba, Ourimba, Dam(closed), Yellowmundie, Appin, Oaks.
Any suggestions?

Lost & Found
Found a Hump backpack cover on my commute to work today (back streets of Mosman). Ping me if it's yours. Mick

North Turramurra update for 09 Jun
Sniggle from Samuel King Oval to McRae Pl has a couple of boggy bits and the creek crossing has been further undercut. Fire trail from McRae through to and including Grosvenor has a few bits of running and standing water, but not too bad.
Good to see the guys from World Trail hard at work at the back of Golden Jubilee - things starting to take shape. Bit hard to get across the piles of dirt to the techy loop though.
