After all the recent rain the track conditions varied from damp to wet. The clay sections were not too bad when I went through although I am sure they would have been slipperier for the riders starting in the later waves. It was pretty easy to pick the good lines through the rock gardens, just a matter of following the orange line.
I found the road section down to the first hill bloody dangerous. Lots of people changing direction and trying to get 5 places forward before forcing their way back into the pack. Just plain stupid.
The Oaks update for 01 May
Rode the Oaks this morning. Fire trail section was in good condition. Single track was wet in sections, but generally in quite good nick. The last (technical) section was pretty dry.

Buck's no training training regime
Well considering my total lack of training for various reasons this year this turned out OK. In the month leading up to today I had ridden to work twice, did a few laps at the Mont, 38km at Terrey Hills and two road rides which were both shorter than 70km! So the only goal today was to finish the race. Given the conditions leading up to the event I had thoughts of calling it quits after the canoe bridge even before we started 
Manly Dam update for 01 May
Despite the 24 hours of sun, there is just heaps and heaps of water around and expect it to stay like that for a good week (and that's without any more rain). Ride The Dam and you'll tear up the track and do your drive-train a diservice.

Terrey Hills update for 01 May
Update for 1 May - rode today, very wet and boggy with some rather large puddles. Some sections ok to ride but will take a while to dry out.

Salvation Tracks update for 01 May
Rode past the end of here today and it's very wet. There was lots of standing water to be seen on the firetrail from the road.
Despite the beautiful sunny day there was also lots of water pouring over the road from the sides at various points indicating the bush either side is probably saturated.

Appin update for 01 May
rode this morning, in general the trail is great condition ,however there are a number of pudles and a few sloshy bits, but was improving each lap I rode .so this afternoon the track will be good for a ride as rain is predicted for tomorrow.

A blast around Berowra
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Corner of Gully and Berowra Waters Road.
I changed the location from Quarry Road Track to Berowra because it was a lot direr than I expected, so thought it'd be good to do a loop around the Berowra track instead!
