Just over 12 months ago he underwent a full knee reconstruction to rectify a birth defect that prevented him from riding to his full potential.
Perhaps they can fix my birth defect? Seems I was born in 1971 and if they can just move that date to something more like 1991 feel my riding will improve immeasurably! 
Cascades update for 28 Dec
Quite a few puddles about, especially on the uphill side of every waterbar - but nothing to be concerned about. The bike stayed remarkably clean during the ride & had no worries tossing in into the back of the car afterwards.
Interestingly, I passed a couple of crazy guys riding full road bikes (complete with drop bars & skinny tyres) down along Bare Ck Track.
Anyone from here, perhaps? Did you lose a bet or something?

Mt Hay/Butterbox fire trail
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
