Fork servicing
Hi Team
Just a quick search for advice and experience: how hard/technical is it to service your own forks? Rather than paying someone else to do it on a regular basis is this something that can be tackled by a competent home mechanic? I'm assuming a regular service would be seals, oil and a general clean-up, is that right?
The forks in question are Rock-Shox SID Race
thanks in advance

Manly Dam update for 01 Dec
Looking at Jonathan's pictures from Cascades, the last report from 2 days ago, recent rainfall and the press (they say 45mm of rain fell at Mona Vale yesterday!).... it doesn't take a genius to work out Manly Dam will pretty much be a mud pit right now.
I'd expect an official closure mail in the morning but let's pre-empt that and show the rangers we don't need to be told to do the right thing.
The forecast is for more of the same but please stay away until a long stretch of sunshine comes along to dry it out. Stick to firetrails, your wind trainer or the road. Sadly conditions for miles around Sydney sound pretty dire right now

The Oaks update for 01 Dec
The causeway is closed. Technically it doesn't close the track if you start at Woodford and go down then back up.

Cascades update for 01 Dec
Wow....i didnt ride it but i did walk it and i took the big camera. I had to take my shoes off and roll my pants up just to cross those little rivers that usually have about 2-3cm of water, never seen water like this before!!! The quality of the photos should still be good but i had to limit them to 2mb apposed to 13mb
