Mowbray Park - Reserve Action Plan
Willoughby Council is asking for comment for the Draft Reserve Action Plan for Mowbray Park. This area contains some potential XC and even DH areas and is just outside of Chatswood. Even though MTB is not mentioned in the plan itself, it's open for the community to comment and is an oppurtune time to let council know about the need for MTB trails in the area.

Commute on MTB or get a cheap roadie?
I'm after some input/advice please.
After living in Crows Nest for 12months and loving the 12 minute ride to work (The Rocks), I'm moving back to Mona Vale.
Now I still want to ride to work a few days a week, but I'm not sure my Dually MTB is the best vehicle for this. (09 Trance X0)
What was previously about 7km a day is now going to be around 70km return (I was planning on hitting wakehurst parkway all the way from Narrabeen to Spit)
Should I
a) Tough it out on the Dually (running crossmark 2.1's) - worried about wear N tear on shiny XTR Drivetrain

Angry Doctor Not
We were about to head to the start when fellow riders staying in the same place let us know it was delayed and a decision was to be made at 9am. I knew now I wasn't going to be doing 100km because even if they started it later I doubt there was enough time for me to finish in daylight. Anyway, while waiting for 9am to come around we headed down to check out the surf. To our surprise there were four whales there really close to land. Never seen them this close so it was pretty amazing.

Did this on the way home and it nearly under water. As I've never ridden here before I'm not sure how long it takes to dry out

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 05 Sep
Pretty good condition in 90% of the track, with the moisture packing it down nicely. A bit boggy around the creeks so it doesnt quite get a green.

Trail Bikes in the Cascades / National Park - who do we call?
Hi Gang,
I need your advice. Today whilst riding the Cascades we came across two seperate groups of trail bikers (may have been one group split up). Probably about 6-7 bikes, of which 2 of the riders looked to be teenagers. Only one was registered but his plate wasnt readable.
It saddens me that these riders are disrespecting the signs, especially when there is so many places close by that they can ride. It is also a shame to see adults passing down this lack of respect to younger folk.
